Bill Pritchard's Address to the Jury - a play by Dale Lakevold

July 19 - 29, 2018
featuring - James Forsythe

director - Dale Lakevold

stage  manager - Nancy McLennan

A play about why the Winnipeg General Strike of 1919 matters today.
A book of poetry leads an idealistic professor into the labyrinth of left-wing politics.  He finds Bill Pritchard, strike leader and socialist, charged with conspiring to overthrow the government of Canada.  He finds Sharon Stevenson, a working class poet:  "no models / no truths revealed / & still the system stares us down."  He finds himself sitting in an empty pool of light.

By the producers of the Fringe hit Misty Lake (FIVE STARS), the 1999 play that revealed the truth about residential schools.
Running time: 45 minutes.

Venue 11 – 160 Princess Ave. – Red River College

Dates: eight shows between July 19 and 29.   Specific Times
Location:  Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival set in Winnipeg's Exchange District.
